CLUB REFORM: NEW RULES REGARDING ENERGY
01-01-2026

HEY FOOTBALLERS!
For years, you’ve been pointing out the lack of balance in top clubs. In practice, this often leads to situations where 1–2 “super clubs” emerge on a server, gathering most of the best players, which significantly limits competition. Other clubs have no chance to compete with them, and the gameplay becomes boring for those teams.
Sometimes it also happens that one of these top clubs breaks up and absorbs the remaining players, resulting in a mega-club that wins everything without any real effort.
WHAT PROBLEM DO WE AIM TO SOLVE?
The lack of competition that follows such mergers and the complete dominance of a single club often causes frustration and discouragement among other players.
At the same time, we do not want to introduce hard limits, such as a maximum club OVR or blocking invitations for specific players. We aim to preserve freedom in squad building while also introducing a mechanism that requires conscious planning for certain decisions.
We’ve spent a considerable amount of time considering various solutions and, honestly, admit that we have approached this topic several times, only to set it aside again after failing to find a perfect answer.
Today, we know that there is no perfect solution, and that any system we introduce will have both supporters and opponents. Nevertheless, we have decided to implement a system that will indirectly force club management to make thoughtful decisions affecting the club’s development.
NEW SYSTEM FOR CALCULATING ENERGY COSTS IN TRAINING
We are introducing a new system that applies to clubs with players ranked in the TOP 30 (trained skills).
The system works as follows: the cost of training increases by a certain percentage if a club has more than two players from the TOP 30 trained-skills ranking.
Key assumption:
The system does not forbid inviting top players — it only “prices” their concentration within a single club.
How would this system work in practice?
- We assume that the cost of a training session is 10,000 Energy.
- The player uses drinks and bonuses reducing the cost, e.g. – 80%, which lowers the cost to 2,000 Energy.
- Only after applying these reductions is the additional Energy cost calculated, depending on the number of TOP 30 trained-skills players in the club.
- This extra cost is calculated starting from the third player onward.

Why does this system make sense?
- The system does not punish quality — it only prices it.
- It protects small and mid-sized clubs from being pushed out of competition by super clubs.
- It encourages conscious squad management instead of mindlessly collecting the best players.
- It rewards good organization and long-term planning.
- It is flexible — each club decides for itself how many top players it wants to maintain.
- It introduces competition — if a club decides to have too many TOP 30 (trained skills) players, it will incur higher costs, e.g. when pushing the 50% bonus, participating in Team Games, fighting for Top of the Week, etc. This gives weaker clubs a realistic opportunity to compete and catch up through training.
When will the change be introduced?
We plan to introduce this change as soon as possible — the system is already under development. The update will be implemented as soon as work is finished, regardless of the current stage of the season.
Our goal is for it to support healthy competition, not limit it. We hope it will fulfill its purpose.
WRAPPING UP
Ultimately, the goal of this change is not to penalize the best players or restrict club ambitions. We aim to create an environment where competition remains attractive, and success stems from effective management, planning, and cooperation — not solely from concentrating the greatest strength in one place.
Like any major change, this one will also be closely monitored by us. We are open to your feedback and suggestions, because we believe that only together can we develop FootballTeam in a direction that ensures long-term satisfaction and healthy competition for all players.
Thank you for your engagement and active participation in FootballTeam’s life.
Kind regards,
FootballTeam Crew
