HEY FOOTBALLER!

The May Major Update is here — one of the biggest card system updates in the history of FootballTeam!

As part of the update, we’re introducing a massive expansion of the card collection — 78 new collections will be added to the game. Alongside that, we’re also bringing changes to the reward system, making deck progression even more satisfying.

FootballTeam will also feature the long-awaited Dual Power System, which completely changes the meaning of card slots. From now on, they won’t matter only in the early game — they’ll also play a crucial role in the endgame, becoming one of the most important elements of player development.

We’ve also expanded the slot system itself — their maximum enchantment level increases up to 35, and the possible boost reaches an impressive 2500%!

Additionally, we’re increasing the number of available slots to 15, allowing nearly the entire card deck to be affected. This will make matches even more strategic and unpredictable, while proper deck-building will become more important than ever.

Along with the overall system expansion, we’ve also carried out a full rebalance of upgrade costs, adjusting them to the new slot levels and their expanded capabilities.

At 6 PM (UTC +2), we’re also launching a two-week event (18.05 - 31.05) featuring various bonuses, special achievements, and attractive bundles.

The May update is a long-awaited overhaul of the card system, introducing a range of new possibilities and significantly expanding this aspect of gameplay.

We’ve prepared a full set of new cards from the Speed and Legacy servers.

Below, we present all the cards, organized by their positions.

NEW CARD COLLECTIONS

🃏 Card Collection Update

We’ve made a major update to card collections — adding as many as 78 new collections while also introducing changes to the reward system.

ATTENTION: Collections can now be exchanged every week — exchanging collections again on all servers will become available after every Sunday maintenance break.

Thus, rewards have been adjusted to better support steady character progression. This will make it easier to obtain key resources such as Energy, Fame Points, Golden Balls, and Team Points.

The addition of Fame Points comes directly from your feedback — many players felt there was a shortage of this resource, so we decided that card collections are the perfect place to replenish it and strengthen this part of progression.

The increased number of Team Points is a response to the development of the club system. With expanded buildings and new perks becoming available, the demand for this resource has grown significantly. Perks are powerful, and previous activities did not provide enough Team Points to fully take advantage of them.

We will continue to monitor these changes closely and adjust the balance based on real gameplay conditions, ensuring the system remains healthy and satisfying for all players.

ATTENTION!

As we mentioned, among others, in the Q&A, with the update going live it will be necessary to remove the current Card Packs.

All packs will be permanently removed on May 18 at 8:00 AM (UTC +2), along with the start of the maintenance break.

 

 

SLOTS: UPDATE AND REBALANCE

⚙️ Dual Power System – new card slot mechanics

Looking at the game’s development, we noticed that card slots play a significant role at the beginning of the game, but their value gradually decreases over time. This was mainly due to the fact that slots were primarily used to strengthen cards in duels, while their impact on character progression remained limited.

That’s why we are introducing the Dual Power System, which completely changes the role of card slots and gives them significance both in the early game and in the endgame.

From now on, slot boosts work on two independent layers.

The first one is responsible for directly enhancing the player’s skills — card power translates straight into character development and overall OVR. Slots have been expanded up to level 35, and the maximum possible boost reaches 2500%, ensuring they remain highly valuable even in the later stages of the game.

The second layer applies to card duels and works independently from the skill boost. To maintain gameplay balance, cards in duels receive 1/10 of the boost value that is applied to player skills.

In practice, this means that if a level 15 slot provides a 150% boost to player skills, the card in duels will receive a 15% bonus.

Thanks to this solution, card slots are no longer just a duel-focused mechanic — they become a full-fledged part of character progression. At the same time, the balance of card gameplay is preserved, and players can develop their account regardless of whether they focus on duels or overall progression.

 

🧩 More slots

We are increasing the number of available slots to 15, allowing them to affect virtually the entire card deck. This makes duels more dynamic and strategic, with every part of the deck now having a real impact on the final outcome.

 

⚖️ Rebalance of slots cost

Alongside the expansion of the slot system, we have also carried out a cost rebalance, adjusting it to the new enchantment levels and their extended functionality.

We received clear feedback from you that early slot progression was too demanding, so we decided to reduce the costs and better align them with the increased number of slots. Additionally, we have balanced the relationship between Fame Points and Energy to make the unlocking and enchanting process smoother and more satisfying.

We will continue to closely monitor the impact of these changes on gameplay and adjust them to the current state of the game.

 

📈 “Beyond the Limit” and “Power Infusion” Achievement Update

Another feature arriving with the Major Update is the expansion of the “Beyond the Limit” and “Power Infusion” achievements — challenges related to unlocking slots and reaching the total upgrade level of all slots.

The achievements have been significantly expanded — we’ve added new progression milestones along with even better rewards.

Among the rewards, you’ll find Tier VII Drinks, as well as up to 10 Hero Stars.

This is another step toward expanding the endgame experience and providing additional motivation for the most advanced players.

 

 

EVENT BUNDLES

Get new Card Packs!

Special event bundles will appear in the Shop, allowing you to obtain completely new Card Packs! They will include two types of packs:

  • Standard Card Packs – these contain all cards available so far, as well as brand-new ones introduced with the Major Update.
  • VIP Card Packs – special packs available only throughout the event, containing only higher-tier cards: Rare, Epic, and Legendary, giving you a much higher chance of obtaining the most valuable cards for your collection. Remember! VIP Card Packs are available only during the event — they will be removed on 31.05.2026.

 

Unlock reward levels!

Each purchase of an Event Bundle allows you to claim another Free Event Pack, which you receive at the start!

 🆙 There are up to 6 reward levels to unlock, and the higher the level you reach, the more resources and more valuable items you will find inside.

Depending on the reward level, the free pack may contain:

  • Large amounts of Energy and Fame Points
  • Perfect Legendary and Epic Cards
  • VIP Card Packs

 

 

EVENT ACHIEVEMENT

In the event achievement, you can earn guaranteed rewards for opening packs. The more Card Packs you open, the better the rewards you receive.

Guaranteed rewards start from 25 opened packs.

By reaching higher milestones in the achievement, you can earn increasing amounts of Energy, Fame Points, and Legendary cards.

❗ Remember — the event achievement will only be available during the event. After it ends, it will be removed from FootballTeam.

❗ Items obtainable from event achievements are locked.

 

⚠️  BOUNTY HUNTER ⚠️

The first player to complete the event achievement and open 2,950 Card Packs will receive a unique reward – an enchantment of one card slot to level 35!

Additionally, the player who is first to complete the achievement will unlock a special server-wide pack (claimable by all players) and be featured on the Hall of Fame on Discord.

The reward is assigned according to slot order:

  • First, card slot no. 1 will be enchanted,
  • If slot no. 1 is already enchanted to level 35, the reward will go to slot no. 2,
  • The same applies to subsequent slots.

The winner is determined by the time the support ticket is submitted with confirmation of completing the event achievement. The order of correctly submitted tickets matters, so speed is key!

 

EVENT BONUSES

Training:

🔶 100% more auto training sessions. 

🔶 Training cost in Euro and Energy reduced by 25%. 

🔶 Train eight skills simultaneously.

 

Locker Room:

🔶 200% more Euro and Golden Balls from item sales.

 

Cafeteria:

🔶 2x more Energy from every meal.

 

Building Materials:

🔶 50% more materials from item exchange (excluding Euro, Golden Balls, and Crystals).

🔶 2x more materials contributed to the club budget (applies to Euro, Golden Balls, and Crystals).

Высока вероятность, что этот проект скоро закроется, поэтому и выжимают напоследок всё, что можно выжать. Других оправданий этим нелепым нововведениям я не вижу. Рекомендую воздержаться от донатов. Istnieje duże prawdopodobieństwo, że ten projekt wkrótce zostanie zamknięty, dlatego wyciskają na koniec wszystko, co tylko się da. Nie widzę innych wyjaśnień dla tych absurdalnych zmian. Consistent killing of the game. A few years ago, they cut drop packs and boosters in training mode, and instead gave them a drop from the card collection. Now they've removed drop packs and other bonuses from the collections. Where can I get bronze/silver/gold packs? Why have you been cutting off regular players (without or with minimal in-game donation) for years? The less online players there are, the more dead teams there are. Don't you understand that? Give us a normal character development, for normal players. Stop cutting and trimming the possibilities, just add... simple formula for success...

Wielka szkoda, że pozbyliscie się nagród w stylu asystent treningu/pracy za wymienione kolekcje ,to zawsze pomagało przy eventach takim graczom jak ja. Niestety z otwieranych paczek (czy to platynowych czy diamentowych) jeżeli mam szczęście lecą same zielone przedmioty a z wymiany przedmiotów ZP także nawet nie ma czym po handlować ażeby zarobić na tych asystentów. #przywrócić/asystentów/w/kolekcjach

@FanaBerry Wszystkie 😆 Zabraliscie graczom f2p możliwość rozwoju, jak taki gracz ma zebrać 300 itemow/paczek żeby zaliczyć te śmieszne zadania z kalendarza? Za kolekcję kart dało się zrobić te zadania bez wydawania złotówki, to samo z asystentami, ale wiadomo, że jak chcesz być f2p to lepiej nie zaczynać tutaj grać 😉
