FOOTBALL QUIZ
👑 The winners of the last edition are: (Legacy)
100 Keys 🔑 Premium - Masal Bugduv
10,000 ⚡ Energy - KrysH & Jopus
Hello! I'm here with another part of the football quiz series. Of course, there are prizes in the form of 100 Keys 🔑 Premium for the first person to answer correctly and 10,000 ⚡ Energy for two random people with the correct answer. I'll be selecting the winners on Thursday at 8pm. Let's get started!
1/ Player's name and surname:
Born on October 4, 1980 in Prague, from a young age he distinguished himself with extraordinary technique and creativity on the pitch. He began his career at Sparta Prague, from where he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2001.There he very quickly became one of the most important players - he won the German championship and reached the UEFA Cup final with the team.
In 2006 he moved to Arsenal London. Although he played for the "Gunners" for a decade, his career in England was interrupted by serious injuries. Despite this, fans gave him great respect for his loyalty to the club and spectacular style of play. In total, in his club career he played 514 matches and scored 65 goals.
His style of play was compared to an orchestra conductor - he had excellent ball control, incredible vision and the ability to create goal situations. It was not without reason that he was called "Little Mozart".
He made his debut for the Czech national team in 2000. By 2016, he had played 105 matches and scored 23 goals. He was the team captain, took part in four European Championships and the 2006 World Championships. After ending his career, he took up the position of sports director at Sparta Prague.

GOSSIP AND CURIOSITIES CORNER
Poruś, a player of the Łosie w Kosmosie club, belongs to the mockers' lodge on Discord. Recently, he decided that it might be time to take the newspaper into his own hands and started asking questions on how to become a journalist. We'll see if and how he likes it on the other side!
Player Sknerus McKwacz, known on Discord as Blomek, boasts that every second package I get a T-shirt, what will he do with them? Maybe he'll brag?
Pan Śmietan TS from TeamTsubasa club, is a moderator on Discord who organizes various competitions such as a chess competition or a UNO competition. Unfortunately, I can't play these games well, but each participant receives a consolation prize, for example a Card Pack.
On the Discord server, you can often meet a lot of cool people who are very willing to help you. In addition, you can win random competitions for keys, Energy, Credits. In my opinion, it's worth joining.
Continuing the Discord thread, we have regulars in the top 10, often called spammers, they are Masal Bugduv (on Discord Simon) from Public Enemies and Anderson Luis de Souza from Duck Army. These two spammers write a lot, although it does not look like they are intentionally trying to get to the top 1. One of them likes to joke or lie, and the other often likes to laugh at the stupidity of others, or talk about sports.
In the Polish chat on Discord there are over 3 times more messages than the 2nd chat in terms of the number of messages, so we are talking about the Brazilian chat. Poles will be above Brazil here.
In the Polish "off-topic" chat, there is often a discussion about football games, there are a lot of fans of such games there, so if you are looking for some advice, you can ask there, I think they will be happy to answer, but if not - it will be on me.
Activity on Discord has recently increased significantly, using the Arcane bot we can check our place in the "spammers" ranking. Once, at level 18 we could be completely sure of a place in the top 10, in the week of writing this article (the beginning of week 2) there is a very good chance that the entire top 10 will be over level 20.
Byk z Pampeluny, the owner of the Izby Wytrzeźwień on the classic server and a former moderator, is getting a pension? There are rumors on the Discord Football Team server that the Byk is getting a big pension, I wonder if he will drink it away, spend it, or maybe save it for his grandchildren?! xD
Do you know that for the first time in many seasons on the classic server, the Black Stars team did not win the Super League, and 7more7 won it. There is a lot of dissatisfaction in the Black Stars camp due to the health update, because they often cannot field a full squad due to the lack of sufficient health in the players. Because of which, on the classic server, there is currently a conflict between Black Stars and 7more7 regarding a change in health, the guys don't like each other, and what do you do in such situations, go to a party and come to an agreement so that you don't remember anything the next day. In addition, the Black Stars club players, quite recently claimed that they would delete their accounts, but I guess they decided that they had invested too much time and money in these accounts and didn't do it. I wonder if it was just talk or was there such an intention?
An interesting fact for less active players may be the information about the long-ago added packages for overall, which are some of the best packages you can buy. Out of 100 packages opened for 10, i.e. opening with a multiplier of 10, 5 times 500x10 and 5 times 1000x5 were dropped, so it happens once in a while, every now and then there is an anomaly and we get a little more. Well, unless I was lucky with this 5/5, or quite the opposite and I was unlucky.
During the last 2 weeks on all 3 servers moderators have run contests with prizes, will this action be repeated? Did you manage to win anything?
Thank you for reading the article. If you have made it this far, you can write what you would like to see in the next edition of the newspaper. I will be happy to listen to suggestions, I invite you to share your opinion in the comments, and now I'm off to read the comments.

FOOTBALLTEAM MEDIATOR
Hello, Football Team fans!
We all spend hours building our dream team, honing our tactics, and tracking our progress in the league. But have you ever wondered who makes sure the game is always fair, bug-free, and free from cheating? These are the Football Team Administrators – the true guardians of our gameplay.
The Invisible Heroes of Everyday Life
Administrators are a group of dedicated people who work behind the scenes to provide us all with the best possible gaming experience. Their role is often underestimated, yet they are the first line of defense against any problems.
Resolving Issues on the Go
Administrators receive dozens, if not hundreds, of reports from players every day. Whether it’s a minor technical glitch, a login issue, or a missing package, the Administrators are there to help. Their knowledge of the game’s mechanics and systems allows them to quickly diagnose and resolve issues, often before we even know something is wrong. They allow us to focus on what’s most important – the game.
Administrators – More Than Just Keepers of Order
What’s important is that Administrators are players themselves – people who, just like us, spend hours building their teams and get involved in the Football Team community. Their job is not just to “punish” or “solve problems”, but also to build a positive atmosphere and help players better understand the rules and mechanics of the game. They are often the first ones we turn to with questions about new features, in-game events, or strategies. Their experience as gamers allows them to look at problems from a user's perspective, which often makes it easier to communicate and find effective solutions. They are a kind of bridge between the game creators and us – the players, providing us with important information and collecting our comments.
Fighting Fraud – Fair Play for All
One of the most important and difficult roles of a moderator is to detect and combat fraud. In the competitive online world, there will always be people who try to exploit loopholes in the system to gain an unfair advantage. An example of this would be trying to manipulate birthdays on multiple accounts to receive extra gifts – yes, that's exactly what I once tried to do on three different accounts. I thought I could outsmart the system and win rewards that weren't due to me.
However, Administrators have advanced tools and knowledge that allow them to identify such unfair practices. They monitor player activity, analyze data, and look for patterns that indicate cheating. Thanks to their vigilance and consistency, those attempting to cheat are quickly identified and their actions neutralized. This is crucial to maintaining a fair and equitable competition for all players. After all, what's the fun of playing if we know the person next to us is cheating?
Thank you, Administrators!
Next time you enjoy a smooth game without problems and cheaters, think of these invisible heroes. It is thanks to the Football Team Administrators that we can enjoy our favorite game without any problems. Their work is invaluable and deserves our highest appreciation.
And have you ever had contact with the Football Team Administrators? Share your experiences in the comments!

CARD COLLECTIONS – DON’T WASTE YOUR POTENTIAL!
A new season is starting and you can’t wait to swap out all your collections after the reset? Hold off. Instead of acting impulsively, be systematic and strategic – this will help you get much more out of the game. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the daily quests from the Cards category.
Let’s count the costs and rewards we can get.
Daily quests – what can you gain?
Ace in the Hole - Upgrade 1/2/3 cards.
Rewards: 75 / 150 / 250 Energy.
Card Assembler - Create 1/2/3 cards.
Rewards: 75 / 150 / 250 Energy.
Card Dealer - Sell 5 common, 3 upgraded, 1 rare card.
Rewards: 75 / 150 / 250 Energy.
Card Collector - Exchange any collection of cards.
Reward: 500 Energy.
Legendary Gambler - Complete quests from the 'Cards' group.
Rewards: 25 Fame Points / 75 Fame Points / Card Pack
For completing all of the above quests over the course of the season, we also receive the following seasonal rewards:
200 Fame Points / 300 Fame Points / 500 Fame Points / Random Epic Card / Random Legendary Card
Is it really worth it? – quick math
Cost of upgrading 3 cards - 3 x 30 = 90 Fame Points (We upgrade blue cards)
Cost of creating 3 cards - 3 x 30 = 90 Fame Points (We create gray cards)
Profit from selling cards - 20 + 3 x 5 + 5 x 10 = 45 Fame Points
Profit from completing all tasks - 100 Fame Points and a Card Pack
Profit from the seasonal Legendary Gambler - 1000 Fame Points.
Assuming that we complete the full set of tasks 28 times in a season, the balance looks like this:
28(-90+(-90)+45+100)+1000 = +20 Fame Points
28(3(75+150+250)+500) = 53900 Energy
We are +20 in Fame Points, so if you were going to give away collections anyway, doing it every day, and not in one day, you are even slightly in the plus. In the process, you have created many cards for the next collections, and you can sell the improved blue cards for a higher price.
Additionally, we gain:
1/ 53900 Energy
2/ 28 Card Packs
3/ 1 random epic card
4/ 1 random legendary card
Summary: Play smart, not fast.
Instead of changing all possible collections at the start of the season, it is better to systematically complete daily tasks to achieve greater benefits. These are, as you can see, practically free resources that can help you gain an advantage in the game. If you think you can easily exchange 28 collections in one season, do it efficiently. Spread the collections over time and enjoy the additional resources.
Remember - FootballTeam is a marathon, not a sprint. Patience pays off, and in this case, it gives you specific rewards.
Have you done this, or maybe you will try it next season? Let me know in the comments!

PUBLIC ENEMIES - JOKERS GAMBIT MATCH REPORT
A lot of terms have been invented for matches like this. "Clash of the titans", "duel of the champions", "meeting at the top", "great classic" and so on and so forth. These high-flown phrases have become clichés and are unable to accurately reflect the fact that in FootballTeam last week in the Super League games, the best teams on the server faced each other. Teams that exceeded the level of 100,000 UM during the match. Teams that have 19 players in the TOP20 of the best players. Ladies and gentlemen - here is the report from the Public Enemies - Jokers Gambit match!
Even the time of the match was truly football-like, because the match started on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Both teams, of course, with full points, both said scythe to each other, both fired up to the max - that's clear as day. It's hard to even pick a favorite here, because the differences in the overall UM were small, and the power bars of the individual lines were equal, so we had to wait to see what the game engine had cooked up.
And it started quickly. In the 3rd minute, the hosts scored a goal. Public Enemies started the action from the center of the pitch, Karondor finally laid the ball out to Chazz Palminteri, who struck from 15 meters that was unstoppable. 1:0!
The next few minutes were a full-on fight in the center of the pitch and chaos dominated. Rob727 was the leader, losing and immediately regaining the ball, but there was nothing concrete. Turor had a chance to increase the score, but his shot was saved by the Jokers Gambit goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the visiting midfielder PaweleQ started charging. He didn't let himself be thrown off balance by the defender's attack, he passed the ball into the penalty area, and there the most clever was El BOBrito Gangsterito, who beat Gianlluigi Buffon with a confident shot. 1:1!
The right defender of the Jokers grew a lot after this goal, because a few moments later he made a great save when he took the ball from Karondor. Public Enemies continued their offensive play, Turor tried to surprise the goalkeeper again, but again without success. In the 32nd minute, the best player on the server - Rob727 - appeared in the offensive for the first time. He hit hard and accurately under the crossbar, but Buffon was on guard and saved the shot.
However, he had nothing to say about the Nitrozyniak free kick. The visiting midfielder shot undefendable and the Public Enemies goalkeeper had to pull the ball out of the goal for the second time that evening. 1:2!
The first half also ends with this result. A bit chaotic, with a slight advantage for the hosts, but still with the guests in the lead.
The second half looked different. There was more space in the middle of the field, which allowed both teams' attacks to get to the defensive line. Thanks to this, the defenders of both teams could show off. Żniwiarz Dusz, El BOBrito and Ofensywny Obrońca made their interventions.
However, no defender was able to stop Krystian Salach, who triggered Patrickkk with a pass. The Public Enemies striker had no choice but to shoot accurately, which he did. 2:2!
The hosts probably relaxed too much and did not enjoy the equalizer for long. Rob727 showed off in the offensive action and although it was "only" a corner kick, after a cross from the corner the interested party himself put the ball into the goal. 2:3!
And the previous paragraph could be repeated, except that we would discuss the passivity and distraction of the Jokers Gambit players. Patrickkk made a long pass towards Turor, who bypassed the disoriented and late goalkeeper and put the ball into the empty net. 3:3!
It should be noted that in the match of such teams, the goal was scored almost immediately after the previous one was conceded. This was also the case with the goal scored by Nitrozyniak, in true Declan Rice style in the match with Real Madrid - the Jokers Gambit midfielder scored a second free kick, putting his team in the lead once again. 3:4!
And when the board and players of Jokers Gambit were counting down the minutes until the end of the match, Chazz Palminteri brought Patrickkk into a one-on-one position with the goalkeeper. Of course, he is not wrong in such situations. With a confident shot, he beat the goalkeeper and gave his team a draw. The top match ends with a score of 4:4 and all we can do is wait for the outcome in the rematch!
Star of the match: Patrickkk. He woke up in the second half, because the first one was to forget. Of course, this weaker performance in the first 45 minutes cannot be ignored, but after the break 2 goals and an assist in such a match makes him stand in the first row of the biggest stars of this match.

“TECHNICAL REVIEW” OF CLASSIC TEAMS
Dear Readers!
It is currently 11:48, just before the start of Friday afternoon. Is this the ideal time to write an article for you? Absolutely!
I have been a bit less here lately, and that is due to the fact that a lot has been going on in my private life. The cherry on the cake was a vacation, after which I am returning with a dose of motivation and work in the journalism industry. I am Andrzejek and from this place I invite you to check out the new material for Sports Journal - get to work!
Everything worked out this way and apparently it had to be that way, that I chose the day of writing the article for the day of the mid-season break, which for an editor can be said to be a challenge. This is due to the fact that not much is happening on the virtual pitch. Is this a problem for me? Those who know me well know that it is not!
The fact that I've been here less lately doesn't mean that I haven't been following the work of other editors.
After the launch of the new Royal server, I think the Classic server lost out, because the number of people online dropped significantly, but we can't forget about the "old trash" and it's time to refresh the situation in the ranking. Have any new teams appeared? Who has made progress in development recently? Let's find out!
The first one to deal with is the club ranking, where we haven't seen any changes on the podium recently. As usual and invariably since the first days of the server, the Black Stars team has been dominating. However, as you well know or not, this team has been struggling with health problems for a long time, which resulted in their removal from the league, which has caused a lot of controversy.
Since I am a player and an editor, for the sake of the cause I cannot say too much about this topic for you, but maybe another editor will take an interest in this matter and you will be able to hear the opinion of both sides :)
A season full of problems in Black Stars had to be used by another team and this is the natural order of things, and the second strength of the classic server is 7more7. They are the ones who are winning awards for season 8 for the first time in their history and their display case now includes trophies for winning the Champions Tournament and the Super League.
If we look a little lower in the general club ranking, we will not find too many teams there, because practically the same teams are entering the Super League Tournament: VC, Izba, Drużyna bez Dopingu or Huragan Młyny. In my opinion, this only shows that the classic server has come to a standstill and despite the lack of less activity from the two top teams, no other is still able to compete with them at the highest level.
Has anything changed in the player ranking? The answer is no... I could list the same names of players for you, like Hulk, Manek, Strogast or jestemurban, but I have already described the vast majority of these players in my previous articles.
What I want to focus on is that, excluding Black Stars and 7more7, in the player ranking we will find a representative of another club only in 27th place, and it is Majszi, who until recently represented the colors of Black Stars. Right behind him, in 28th place in the ranking, is his club colleague Lucasinho. He is the rightful number one, if not for the two previously mentioned teams. It is worth noting that on the day of writing the article, he has not done any training and does not have a bonus, but this only shows how the activity of the classic server has dropped.
That's all for today. Thank you very much for reading my article and if you have persevered to this point, let me know about yourself in the comment!

IF THE SUPERLIGA WAS REAL: WHO WOULD BE IN ROYAL'S INAUGURAL SEASON?
Hello Football Team community!
This week, we're diving into a fascinating scenario on the Royal server: the existence of SuperLeague. If this elite competition had existed since the very first season, which titans would be battling for the coveted trophy?
To simulate this ultimate Champions League, we considered the champions of all national leagues and the overall ranking as a tie-breaker and complementary selection criterion. The result is a list of eight squads that, in our projection, would form the inaugural Royal SuperLeague. Get ready to meet the contenders for eternal glory.
The Glory Contenders
Let's analyze the characteristics and highlights of each of the eight teams that, in our simulation, would make up the elite of Royal football.
1st - Cosa Nostra
Leading our list, Cosa Nostra, affectionately known as the "Mafioso Gamers," dominates the Spanish first division with a flawless performance: 19 wins in 19 rounds. This impeccable campaign demonstrates not only talent but also enviable tactical and mental consistency. Attacking midfielder Quke99 is the team's brain, dictating the pace and appearing in scoring zones. In goal, Wojtek Szczęsny is the impenetrable wall that complements their offensive power.
2nd - NasNieDogoniat
Directly from icy Russia comes NasNieDogoniat, a Polish team that stands out for a unique and almost unbelievable characteristic: an impenetrable defense. Leading the Russian first division, the team boasts an achievement that defies modern football logic: zero goals conceded in 19 rounds played. This defensive solidity is the foundation of their success, a result of impeccable tactical organization. While the defense nullifies any threats, the offense doesn't lag behind, having already netted over a hundred goals.
3rd - WszystkieDziuryBioręZGóry (previously NasDogoniat)
And here's the second Polish team on our elite list: WszystkieDziuryBioręZGóry. Currently, this team is the dominant force in the Turkish first division, with consistent performances and enviable firepower. The major highlight is siejA, a natural-born goalscorer who simply won't stop finding the net. His finishing ability and keen eye for goal make him a constant threat to any defense.
4th - Black Stars
Apologies to the constellations, but the true stars of our Royal universe are the players of Black Stars. This team shines brightly on the English scene, where they lead the league with a tranquility few can display. The serenity in their campaign reflects an unwavering confidence in their strategy and the quality of their athletes. Tobson emerges as a fundamental pillar, the "great destroyer of opponent's plays." His presence on the field acts as a protective shield for the defense, allowing the attackers to create opportunities.
5th - Life Hackers
May opponents protect their data! Life Hackers promise to metaphorically invade rival servers to continue leading the German league. This team embodies modern football, with a strategic mindset and a focus on maximum efficiency. The highlight in goal is Kamss. He is the wall that guarantees the inviolability of the goal, with sharp reflexes and a game reading ability that allows him to anticipate attackers' intentions.
6th - Menelus
If you're looking for spectacle and plenty of goals, Menelus is your team. This squad promises a veritable downpour of goals every season, and they are delivering on their promise, leading the Italian league with an offensive fury that delights fans and terrifies opponents. The most striking number on Menelus's resume is the impressive mark of 112 goals scored so far. This statistic is a reflection of a demolishing attack, with players who possess a keen goal-scoring instinct.
7th - ŁYSI I KĘDZIERZAWI
Even in second place in the Polish league, ŁYSI I KĘDZIERZAWY (the "Bald and the Curly-Haired") is not a team to be underestimated. On the contrary, they promise to "sweat their scalps off" in the title race, an expression that translates the grit, determination, and unyielding fighting spirit that characterize this team. Despite not being in the lead, the team shows a remarkable ability to recover and stay in the fight. Every game is a battle, every play contested with maximum intensity.
8th - Unicorn Team
To conclude our list, with a touch of mysticism and unpredictability, we have the Unicorn Team. The message is clear: "Players who don't believe in mythical creatures, beware!" This team's "magic horns" have the power to bring down giants in the English title race. Unicorn Team is the personification of surprise in football. It's not just about technique or tactics; there's an element of magic and unpredictability in their play that unbalances opponents.
The Debate Is Open
And now, the million-dollar question: are you part of any of these elite squads? Do you believe they would indeed be the future members of the SuperLeague? Or do your bets for this dream competition fall on other teams that, in your view, would deserve a spot in this legendary gallery?
The stage is set, and the debate is open. We want to hear your voice! Share your opinions, analyses, and projections with us in the comments.

DISPUTE OVER THE ARMBRIDGE. THROUGH OUR EYES – KIERO DS AND GRUBY TYMEK ON LEWANDOWSKI’S CONFLICT WITH PROBIERZ
The last few weeks in Polish football have been more like a movie script than the team’s normal preparations for a tournament. The captain’s armband being taken away from Robert Lewandowski by coach Michał Probierz, the player’s statement, his resignation from the game, the media commotion, and the speculation about the background of the decision – it’s hard to ignore it.
That’s why we decided together – Kiero DS, and Gruby Tymek– to share our thoughts. We don’t agree on every issue, but we know one thing for sure: something definitely went wrong here.
The captain’s armband – a symbol bigger than the crest on the chest:
For someone from the outside, it may be just a piece of cloth. But anyone who has ever been in a team – regardless of the level – knows that the captain’s armband is not just a symbol, it’s an obligation and responsibility. In club football it has its significance, but in the national team it is considered sacred.
The captain is the first to stand in the tunnel. He is the one who approaches the referee, he is the one who represents the entire team, the country and millions of fans. He is the one who answers questions first, defends his teammates, unites the team. The armband in the squad is more than tactical leadership - it is creating the identity of the national team.
That is why I do not agree with the opinions that "it is just an armband" or that "symbolism does not play". In football, symbols are the foundation of mentality, and mentality wins matches. By taking it away from someone as distinguished as Lewandowski, you are not just taking a rag off the shoulder. You are taking away a sense of belonging, continuity and certainty.
I believe that if the coach wants change, he should first build a new structure before destroying the old one. And this way - it looks more like cutting a thread than passing the baton.
Kiero DS: this armband should not be taken away:
I have been involved in football for years – as a coach, activist, referee and fan. And when I heard that Probierz had taken the armband away from Lewandowski, I felt something between surprise and disappointment.
For me, Robert is not only a great footballer. He is a symbol. For several years he led this national team – sometimes in good times, sometimes in difficult times, but always with dignity. Such a person is not treated as one of many. It is not only a tactical decision – it is a symbolic decision.
I understand that the coach has the right to build the team in his own way. But there are limits. And one of them is respect for those who have created the history of this team for years. Robert, with his attitude, earned the right to give up the armband himself – at the right moment. He should not have been taken off it in such a way, and over the phone at that.
Gruby Tymek: the decision was justified, but poorly played:
I cannot fully agree with you, Kiero. I look at it more firmly. If Probierz decided that Lewandowski was no longer giving the team what the captain needed, then he had every right to make this change.
We saw that Robert started to choose his matches. He used the excuse of tiredness, but a few days earlier he had played in the league, which he won. And then he doesn't show up for an important match for the national team? Well, it didn't look good. If the coach wants a new leader in the team, he must have the freedom to choose one.
But - and I agree with you here - the way it was done was terrible. They met a few days earlier, and then Probierz calls him with this information? It's a lack of class. On top of that, these explanations that "the PZPN board wanted it that way" or that "the players too", which were later denied. After all, it only added fuel to the fire.
Kiero DS: the locker room is not the place for conflicts with an icon:
Exactly - the way of communicating with a player of this caliber was unacceptable. And I think that Robert should not have adjusted to the coach's vision. It is the coach who should be able to manage a personality like Lewandowski. Build a relationship with him, use his influence on the young, and not marginalize him.
In football, especially at the national team level, you don't build authority at the expense of the captain, who went through media storms and never left the team. It wasn't a brave decision - it was a risky move that may cost us more than we gain.
Gruby Tymek: it's not just a personal conflict, it's a systemic problem:
I agree - Probierz made communication mistakes, but let's not pretend that everything revolves around Lewandowski. For me, this situation is a symptom of a much bigger crisis.
Look at the youth system in Poland. Who do we have? Zalewski and Urbański - both raised in Italy. Juniors in the Ekstraklasa only play because they have to, not because they are really being developed. The youth system is lying and squealing. And how are we supposed to build a new quality of the national team in such a country?
For me, this is the moment when not only the coach should consider leaving, but also the president. Kulesza was supposed to provide stability, but we have the twelfth coach since the beginning of the 21st century and no long-term plan.
Together: time to clean up Polish football:
We do not agree with each other in the assessment of Lewandowski, we look at Probierz's decision slightly differently. But we see one thing the same: all this is not normal.
The team needs peace, strategy, proper communication and clear rules. This is what was lacking. And today we have not only a conflict between the captain and the coach, but also a crisis of trust among fans, players and the entire community.
Was this armband really worth this fuss? Time will tell. But if nothing changes, instead of the Euro, we will watch as other nations chase us away, and we will remain in the football Middle Ages.
Memes, mockery and ridicule - or what the football street is saying:
There is no denying that the decision of coach Michał Probierz and the way it was communicated caused a real storm - not only in the sports media, but also among fans and, more broadly, the entire football community. Just a few hours after the first reports were published, the Internet was flooded with memes, mocking graphics and comments.
Some of them mocked the moment of the information ("while putting the children to sleep"), others pointed out the lack of respect for the footballer who had been an icon of the national team for years. There was also no shortage of comparisons to political resignations, jokes about "telephone diplomacy" or graphics presenting Lewandowski as a "betrayed king".
But these are not just jokes. Behind this wave of irony lies a deeper problem - the loss of seriousness of the national team in the eyes of fans. Because if the leader of the national team feels treated like a reserve from the regional team, then the fan also feels that something in this team is not working.
Memes are a measure of social moods today. And when fans stop commenting on sports decisions and start mocking them, it is a sign that something has gone very wrong.
Epilogue of the whole situation – Michał Probierz resignation:
The whole situation, which began with Robert Lewandowski being stripped of the captain's armband, had serious consequences. After the defeat by Finland, which made our path to the World Cup very difficult, Michał Probierz announced his resignation as the coach of the Polish national team.
It was a final that many expected, but few believed it would actually happen. After a conflict with the team leader and a wave of criticism – both from fans and the football community – the coach decided to leave. It was not a resignation because of just one match. It was the result of growing tension, loss of trust and undermining authority.
I believe that if this situation had been resolved differently, more humanely and with greater sensitivity, today we could talk about the future of the staff with hope, not disappointment.
